Product Engineer

Helping make online business personal.

March 2018 - Present

I worked with the risk analytics team to improve the strategy documentation for access and prime credit cards. This role required me to interpret code (without comments) to work out the logic for accepting or declining applications. I also created an intern led hackathon, BarclaysHack, that received support from senior executives within Barclays.

June 2016 - August 2016

I spent the summer of 2015 with Deloitte in Dublin working on client projects around the city. My roles included working as part of a team to implement new software for a client, and working on my own project for a major event in the head-office. I loved meeting a new team and joining an existing project and excelled in my meetings with the client to understand exactly what their needs were. I was also self-motivated to complete my own project in time (it was a mind-controlled nerf gun!).

If I'm not hacking away, I'm probably on the rugby pitch trying to learn how to spin pass, singing along to the Hamilton soundtrack, or reading Michael Lewis books.

Big fan of Cheesy 90's pop (check out DjFinlay on spotify).
